The Tama River's slower pools near Futako-Tamagawa, on the Tokyo–Kawasaki border, are one of the Kanto region's best-known largemouth bass fisheries. Lure anglers work the reed margins and bridge pilings, and the riverside cycling path makes the whole stretch easy to fish from Tokyo without a car.
