The stretch of the Göta älv running from the Tingstad tunnel up to Kungälv is a relatively unexplored pike fishery by Scandinavian standards, despite the river's size and obvious potential. The current slows through wide, slack pools near Kungälv itself, good holding water for anglers working spinnerbaits and jerkbaits along the banks.
