The waterfront promenade on the Katajanokka peninsula, just east of Market Square, looks out over the harbour and icebreaker moorings. Pike-perch and perch are caught from the quaysides here, and during the salmon and sea trout runs, migrating fish occasionally pass close to shore on their way toward Vanhankaupunginkoski.
